New in Store
We have lots of new stock coming in and with the build-up to Christmas, the shop will be full of beautiful gifts, from small stocking-fillers to wonderful quilts and rugs, as well as cards, wrapping paper and decorations. And don’t forget to pick up a Divine chocolate Advent calendar before December (and we also have a few non-chocolate ones too), chocolate coins and other treats.
In the clothes’ department, we have new season  ranges from our usual suppliers, plus a new supplier, ‘One World is Enough’ who do some great kids’ and adults’ clothes, and have recently opened a shop in Edinburgh (at Tollcross, if you’re ever passing).
This season, we also have more men’s clothes than usual, with some lovely shirts from Bishopston Trading, hoodies from Gossypium and long-sleeved t-shirts from Ideo. So if you think we only cater for women, come in and have a look and let us prove you wrong!
As well as new children’s clothes, from Ideo, Nomads and Bishopston, we have new toys such as Mais craft toys (made from eco-friendly maize extract) and Jigsaw playsets, which double as a jigsaw and a toy to play with.
And, of course, we have Christmas cards, wrapping paper, decorations, chocolate coins and advent calendars (both milk and dark chocolates ones available this year!). We also have Christmas cakes and puddings and all the dried fruit you need to make your own.
And, for the chocaholics, Divine have brought out large boxes of chocolates (white chocolate strawberry truffles and milk chocolate champagne truffles), Traidcraft have two different boxes of chocolates as well as a new range of bars of chocolate, and we’ve just got in a double chocolate swirl spread (half milk, have white chocolate).
Fairly Traded Clothes -  We stock a range of clothes from Ideo, Gossypium, BishopstonTrading,Namaste and Nomads.All our clothing is fairly traded, and many of the garments from Bishopston Trading, and all those from Ideo and Gossypium are made from Fairtrade organic cotton. We also stock children’sand baby clothes. Unfortunately, our range changes so quickly we can’t give you a list of all we do. But if there’s something particular you’re looking for, why not give us a call to see if we have it in stock, or can get it for you.
Fairly Traded Accessories
 We do a wide variety of jewellery, from Namaste, Shared Earth, Silverchilli, Just Trade and, most recently, Yakanaka, and these range from affordable bead necklaces and bracelets and silver-plated earrings, to jewellery for special occasions – beautiful silver from Silverchilli and stunning fresh-water pearls from Yakanaka.
We also always have a range of bags in stock, from simple shopping bags to handbags and shoulder bags, purses and wallets.
In winter, hats and gloves from Black Yak prove very popular, and we always have a range of scarves too.
Fairly Traded Gifts
Looking for a gift that’s a little bit different? We have a wide selection of gifts from around the world, from photo frames to bookends, lamps to trivets – there’s something for everyone, and all fairly traded too.
Fairtrade Food - We stock a varied selection of Fair Trade Foods.
Fair Trade Kitchen Shop - we have recently made space for a range of fairly-traded kitchen accessories, from salad bowls to crockery to Fairtrade cotton tea-towels. The perfect addition to your kitchen, or a lovely gift!
  Toiletries -We stock a range of natural and organic toiletries for babies, children and adults from Faith in Naturesoaps and shampoos…to Green People moisturisers and lipsticks. Click left for our Product List.
Household Products - Earth Matters supply a variety of green eco-cleaning products for cleaning around the home. None of these products contain any of the toxic chemicals that cause harmful pollution by building up in the environment and even in our own bodies.
 We now stock a mixture of Ecover and Ecoleaf cleaning products, plus we provide a refill service for as many of them as we can. This not only saves on plastic bottles, it also saves you money. Ecoleaf is a new range of household cleaners from our wholesale supplier, Suma, a workers’ cooperative who make the products in Britain from natural plant extracts. They are a slightly cheaper alternative to the Ecover products and require fewer transport emissions (Ecover products are made on the continent). Click left for our product list.
